Amy S. Bencic, DPT, PT, OCS

Amy Bencic

Amy has been practicing Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania over twenty six years. Ms. Bencic has had extensive training in Othopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy and is an Orthopaedic certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has clinical experience in outpatient private practice, acute and out-patient hospital care, as well as home health physical therapy. Ms. Bencic graduated magna cum lade in 1983 from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Chatham College in 2004 with a specialty in Sports and Orthopeadics.

Ms. Bencic has been a clinical instructor for the University of Pittsburg, Penn State DuBois, and Gannon University. She has presented lectures for peers and community members on orthopedics, balance/vestibular rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, industrial rehabilitation, and manual therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). She is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy and maintains a Direct Access License.

Lori Bozzer, DPT has been a practicing physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1995. Ms.Bozzer has an extensive orthopaedic background and experience in aquatic therapy as well as vestibular and balance rehabilitation programs. She is a 1998 graduate of Slippery Rock University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and graduated summa cum laude in 1995 with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and in 1998 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Ms.Bozzer has served as a clinical instructor for Indiana University, St. Francis University and the University of Pittsburgh and has presented various lectures for peers and community members on topics such as orthopaedics, vestibular/balance and fall prevention, and aquatic physical therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). Ms.Bozzer is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy and also maintains a Direct Access License.

Jamie L. Chichy, DPT, joined Indiana Total Therapy in April 2013, but has been practicing physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2002. She has extensive training in orthopeadic as well as geriatric physical therapy. She has also focused continuing education and special interest in Women’s Health as well as Vestibular and Balance Rehabilitation treating individuals with vertigo, imbalance and BPPV. Ms. Chichy is a 2002 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.

Ms. Chichy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). She is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy and also maintains a Direct Access license.

Julie N. Fairman, PT, CWT joined COSM Rehab in February 2009 although has practiced Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 20 years. She has had extensive experience in the area of orthopaedics with special interest in arthritis and total joint rehabilitation.

Ms. Fairman graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton in 1989. She has continued with ongoing education in the areas of orthopaedics , manual therapy, industrial rehabilitation, women’s health, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Ms. Fairman has taken part in clinical instruction with students from Penn State Dubois. She is a certified instructor for the Arthritis Self-Help program in conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation. Ms. Fairman is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). She is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy and also maintains a “Direct Access” license.

Paul has been practicing Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for greater then fifteen years. He graduated summa cum laude at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Sports Science. While at IUP, Mr. Pohley was a pitcher on the baseball team. In 1993 Mr. Pohley graduated from the University of Pittsburg with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

Mr. Pohley has been employed by Indiana Regional Medical Center since 1993 working in the Acute Care and Outpatient areas.
Mr. Pohley’s primary interests are in sports and orthopaedics.

He has coached youth hockey, basketball, and baseball for the last eight years. Mr. Pohley is a member of the American Physical Therapy association (APTA) and is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy.

Dennis A. Schultz, PT has been with the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (COSM) since 2005 but has been practicing Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for greater than 15 years. Mr. Schultz has extensive training in Orthopaedics and Sports Physical Therapy. He also has extensive training in Total Joint Rehabilitation. In 1990, Mr. Schultz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Schultz is a clinical instructor for the University of Pittsburgh, Chatham College, Gannon University and Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He has given numerous lectures for the community and his peers in the field of Physical Therapy. Alanna Bosley, OTR/L, CLT was a 1998 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. In 2001 she became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through Klose-Norton, LLC (that company has since disbanded though into 2 companies Klose and Norton). Her areas of experience/interest include: Hand therapy/Upper extremity rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for lymphedema/chronic edemas of the upper or lower extremities. AT ITT EAST, her role is hand/UE therapy, neurological rehab, lymphedema treatment (CDT), functional cognitive evaluations, industrial rehab/pre-work testing, pre-driver's evaluations (which involve the initial phase of evaluation-patients are then sent out to a specialist for on-the-road testing if indicated), wheelchair clinic, and training in activities of daily living/ assessing adaptive equipment needs. She also has previous experience in pediatric therapy.

Rocky A. Fatino, ATC, ACI joined COSM in August 2007. He has been a certified athletic trainer since 2000 with experience in sports injury evaluations, treatment and prevention programs.

Mr. Fatino is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received a BS in Physical Education and Sports Science. He has worked as an athletic trainer in collegiate and outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Mr. Fatino is a licensed athletic trainer with the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association. He is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society.

Kolby Mumau, D.C., MS, CKTP

Dr. Kolby Mumau was born and raised in Punxsutawney, PA where he was active in several sports such as basketball, baseball, tennis, and volleyball. Dr. Mumau went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and then attended New York Chiropractic College for his Doctorate in Chiropractic (D.C.). During his time in chiropractic school, he was able to attend various athletic events and gained experience treating runners and cyclists. He was also selected for a competitive internship at the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, NY. During that time he worked alongside orthopedists, physical therapists, and physiatrists and was exposed to a variety of issues such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, severe spinal stenosis, multiple back surgeries, and many other chronic pain disorders. This unique experience at school gave him the skills and insight to treat not only young athletes, but also those with everyday types of pain such as muscle aches and strains to more severe chronic pain. Additionally, he also earned his Master’s in Nutrition, gaining knowledge and expertise in weight loss, sports nutrition, and improved overall health.

Dr. Mumau’s treatment methods are, and always will be, patient centered. Every patient is unique, so he strives to provide individualized quality treatment based on their needs so that patients can get better as quickly as possible. Dr. Mumau is a Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP), which is a rehabilitative taping method to help stabilize muscles and ligaments, without hindering movement. He also has experience in myofascial release and instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, which are treatment and rehabilitative techniques to help break up adhesions in your muscles and fascia, improve movement, and help speed up recovery.

Dr. Mumau is licensed and board certified in Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association.
